Inaugural US-Kazakhstan Business Forum to Foster Economic Cooperation

Washington, DC — May 31, 2024 — The Kazakhstan Cultural-Business Association of North America (KCBANA), in collaboration with the Parasat Business Club, proudly announces the inaugural US-Kazakhstan Business Forum set to take place at the Headquarters of the World Bank Group in Washington, DC on June 5, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM.  This pivotal event, themed “Expanding Horizons: The Future of US-Kazakhstan Economic Cooperation,” will convene distinguished speakers and key stakeholders to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration between the United States and Kazakhstan.

Forum Objectives:

The forum aims to provide an overview of cooperation in key sectors of US-Kazakhstan economic relations, while also delving into new partnership opportunities in areas such as the creative industry, human capital, innovation, and women’s business empowerment.  Participants will address regulatory, logistical, and financial barriers to regional integration and discuss action plans for accelerating economic development in Central Asia.

Distinguished Speakers and Participants:

Distinguished speakers at the event will include the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the US, the Ambassador of the US to Kazakhstan, Executive Directors of the World Bank and IMF, subject matter experts from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), KCBANA, and the Parasat Business Club.  Their insights will enrich discussions across various facets of economic cooperation.

Event Format:

The forum will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.  Participants will include business leaders, entrepreneurs, government representatives, policymakers, investment and financial institutions, academics, policy experts, and non-governmental organizations.

Expected Outcomes:

The anticipated outcomes of the US-Kazakhstan Business Forum include a comprehensive understanding of economic cooperation prospects between the US and Central Asia within the B5+1 framework, the development of a roadmap for future projects to enhance economic development and regional integration, and the establishment of new partnerships and networks among stakeholders.
